12th Annual Children's Arts Festival

The Arts Council will be displaying children's artwork from 11 counties, and over 20 schools for the entire month of February. Area art teachers submitted original pieces from grade levels 3 through 8. Eight pieces from each grade were selected for placement in a commemorative booklet, which is available at the Arts Council galleries.

A special section on poetry was also added to the Children's Arts Festival this year. Students were prompted to write a poem based on Van Gogh's "Starry Night".
