Past: Cape Girardeau Civil War Roundtable

The Cape Girardeau Civil War Roundtable will meet Sunday, March 17 at Hanover Lutheran Church. The guest speaker will be Gary Schell of Ste. Genevieve. He will speak about the History of the 47th Missouri Infantry Regiment. It was a six-month regiment which was mustered into service on Sept. 5, 1864, at Pilot Knob. It was discharged as a unit on March 29, 1865. Company C was made up of men from Perry County and was stationed in cape Girardeau during Price's raid in 1864.
