Past: Dan Crocker's Book Release Party at Cup 'N' Cork

What if the Sesame Street characters we all know and love are metaphors for adult struggles like divorce, depression, anxiety, and addiction? Dr. Dan Crocker has some ideas. Come hear him read from his 6th published book of poems, "Sh*t House Rat." You will also hear poems about growing up in Missouri's leadbelt, poverty, queerness, and small town conservatism, all with compassion, honesty, and his signature dark humor.

Signed copies are available for sale after the reading, which starts at 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, at Cup 'N' Cork, 11 S. Spanish St. in Cape Girardeau.
