Take center stage in Cape Girardeau, and join Old Town Cape, Inc. at the newly re-named Ivers Square for a special open house event showcasing our participation in the #VoteYourMainStreet campaign! What is the #VoteYourMainStreet campaign? To celebrate community-based preservation in cities and towns across the country, the National Trust for Historic Preservation is partnering with American Express for Partners in Preservation: Main Streets — a grassroots campaing recognizing 25 historic sites on American main streets that contribute to the diverse fabric of their local communities.

Open House Activities:

-Informational booth with campaign promotional materials (Stop by to learn how you can become a campaign ambassador!)

-Musical performance by Cape Girardeau favorite "Jerry Ford's Dixieland Band" from 6-7 p.m.---Bring your lawn chairs!

-FREE facepainting for kiddos

-Group dance performance from Lauren Jones Maurer

-Drawings showcasing the potential revitalization of Ivers Square

-Complimentary refreshments will be available from local restaurant Burrito-Ville
