Past: Riverside Comedy Presents: Brian McDowell and Friends

Riverside Comedy is back Friday, November 17th for another round of comedy at Port Cape! The Riverside crew is fresh off their debut show and looking to bring more laughter to the Midwest.

Hosted by Thor Harter, fans of Riverside should expect nothing less than an acerbic take on society from one of its most beloved members. Harter is sure to please a crowd with with his rapid-fire wit and his takes on sex, politics, and his grandmother.

Sarah Collette will be making her Riverside debut doing a guest spot. Collette is sure to please any audience with her takes on dating and living in California. Audiences will appreciate Collette's warm and witty humor.

Spencer Tegtmeyer is also making his Riverside debut as our feature act. In the past year Tegtmeyer has cemented himself as a favorite among Midwest audiences, winning the annual Funnybone comedy competition this year. Audiences are sure to love Tegtmeyer's brand of humor as he is a master of one-liners, puns, and zingers that are guaranteed to fill a room with laughter.

Brian McDowell is making his Port Cape debut but has been a frequent collaborator with Riverside Comedy. McDowell was a finalist in Helium's Funniest Person competition, and is a renowned voice of with throughout the Midwest. A former sports journalist, McDowell is sure to please with his take on sports mascots, Batman as a religious figure, and how to defeat ISIS with the perfect fighting force.

There's also speculation that a musical troupe might also be making an appearance there. While these are rumors, it's worth noting that this trio describes their art as "Freddie Mercury and Toby Keith's love-child, doused in Budweiser and gasoline."

Two shows at 7 and 9 pm, please begin showing up at 6:30 for the dinner show, and 8:45 for the late show.
