Past: Newtown 5th Anniversary Candlelight Vigil

This year marks the 5th anniversary of the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting in Newtown, Connecticut. There will be a Candlelight Vigil in Cape Girardeau to remember the victims of Newtown as well as the 500,000 victims and survivors of gun violence since December 2012. It will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14 at the Christ Episcopal Church at 101 N. Fountain.

Join us as we come together in song and prayer to remember the victims and their families and pledge to work to #EndGunViolence.

The vigil is sponsored by the southeast Missouri chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, Christ Episcopal Church and Stop Needless Acts of Violence Please (SNAP).
