Past: Scott County Historical and Genealogy Society Meeting

The Scott County Historical and Genealogy Society will meet Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the meeting room of the Riverside Regional Library, 44 N. Winchester St., Benton, MO.

Speaker will be Dr. Bill Shell. He will be giving a presentation on "1816, The Year Without Summer." The year 1816 is still known to scientists and historians as "eighteen hundred and froze to death" or the "year without a summer". It was the locus of a period of natural ecological destruction not soon to be forgotten.

Everyone is welcome and attendees do not have to be members to attend our meetings and programs. Bring a friend.
