Past: Children's Arts Festival

The Arts Council of Southeast Missouri hosted an opening reception for the 18th Annual Children's Arts Festival on Friday, February 2 from 4 - 8 p.m.

The show will be on display until February 24, 2018. This year, the Children's Arts Festival celebrates young artists in grades 3 - 8 from 28 different schools in the Southeast Missouri region. Best of Show, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner from each grade level were recognized along with other students who were exemplary in their artistic talent. Artwork created from select students were chosen to be displayed inside their Representative or Senators office for Citizen's Day on February 7. Those works will hang in Jefferson City at the Missouri Capitol Building for one year. Other works were also chosen to go on display at the Cape Girardeau City Council Chamber and Osage Centre in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
