Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature Center

Registration begins on-line April 3 (ages 12+) Program and transportation from the Nature Center are free.

Spring is a great time to view many species of plants emerging and blossoming. However, on this trip we are going to investigate the special trees that live in the wetlands of Southeast Missouri by canoe. By the end of the trip, you all will be budding dendrologists!

All canoes and life jackets will be provided, however, if you would like you can bring your own personal life jacket. This will be an all-day program so pack a sack lunch. There is the possibility to get wet while canoeing so bring extra dry clothes.

We will have free transportation available for all 16 participants, however, if you have questions regarding transportation you can email Dustin.Hillis@mdc.mo.gov or call the nature center at 573-290-5218.
