Past: African American Genealogy

In honor of Black History Month, Marla Moore will present a special workshop on African American genealogy. Advanced genealogy research methods will be showcased as participants are led through the life of Dennis Jackson, a former slave who lived and died here in Cape Girardeau. Handouts on navigating African American genealogy will be given out along with tips for researching specifically in the Cape Girardeau area.
