Past: Scott County Historical and Genealogy Society Meeting

The Scott County Historical and Genealogy Society will meet Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the meeting room of the Riverside Regional Library, 44 N. Winchester St., Benton, MO.

Mr. John C. Fisher will give a presentation on "The 1939 Bootheel Sharecroppers Strike."

Entire families, including women and children, set up camp along the highways in the frigid and harsh winter weather, sleeping in tattered tents or in the back of wagons.
