Past: Southeast Conservatory Dance Intensive

Dancers (ages 12-college) will be challenged technically and artistically through a variety of classes taught by Southeast dance faculty and professional artists. In addition to daily ballet class, students will study modern and jazz techniques and have the opportunity to experience additional classes including pointe, aerial arts, improvisation, and hip-hop. The Conservatory Dance Intensive offers individualized dance instruction and will enhance young dancers’ technique and performance abilities. An informal concert showcase of newly created dance works will take place at the end of the week as part of the River Campus Summer Arts Festival. Students interested in pursuing the BFA in Dance degree program at Southeast Missouri State University may use the intensive as their audition. A minimum of 12 dancers must be enrolled in order for the intensive to be held.

Costs:

Half Day Fee: (9 a.m.- noon, daily) $150, includes two daily technique classes in ballet and modern or jazz

Commuter Fee: (9 a.m.-9 p.m., daily) $325, includes all classes, social activities, lunch and dinner

Resident Fee: $475 includes loding, meals, classes and social activies.
