Past: Kent Library Athenaeum

Kent Library, Southeast Missouri State University

Kent Library at Southeast Missouri State University presents its first Athenaeum presentation of the 2018-2019 academic year. Dr. Kristen Sobba will be presenting "The Presence of Cyberbullying among College Populations: Reactions and Perceptions."

Many sources reveal that cyberbullying is a serious problem, which can lead to devastating repercussions. Much research has been directed towards adolescent bullying and victimization; however, there is a gap in the literature related to college-level opinions and responses to cyberbullying. Since prior studies indicate that cyberbullying is not isolated only to high school students, it is imperative for research to identify the impact cyberbullying has on other populations including college students.

This event will be held on Wed., Sept. 5, from noon to 1:00 p.m. at Sadie's Place in Kent Library. The event is free and open to the public.
