Past: Be SMART for Kids

The southeast Missouri chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America will hold their next meeting on Wednesday, September 5th at 7:00 p.m. at the Cape Girardeau Public Library. Please join us as we host a Be SMART for Kids presentation in recognition of national Suicide Prevention and Awareness month. Every year 500 children die by suicide with a gun and the number of teen suicides are on the rise.

Be SMART for Kids is a safety program which reminds adults that it is their responsibility to keep loaded guns out of the hands of children and teens by storing guns securely in homes and vehicles. You can learn more about the program at www.besmartforkids.org
