Past: Give Back to the Community Caring Council with Burrito-Ville

Burrito-Ville

CAPE GIRARDEAU--- Burrito-Ville, a locally owned and operated restaurant, will hold a fundraising event on Sept 28 from 5-9 p.m. to benefit the Community Caring Council’s upcoming event, Project Homeless Connect.

Burrito-Ville will be donating ten percent of all sales from 5-9 p.m., including t-shirts, gift cards, food, beverages, and alcohol. The money raised will go toward the event, Project Homeless Connect.

Project Homeless Connect will be held on Oct 5 at the Osage Center, providing access to birth certificates, driver’s licenses, social security cards, legal assistance, housing, education, employment resources, dental care, and more. Haircuts, showers, hygiene kits, and lunch will also be provided as well as groceries courtesy of SEMO Food Bank Mobile Food Pantry. Child care will also be available as well as bus transportation to and from the Osage Center provided by CTA. All services will be provided free of charge and will directly benefit the homeless population of Southeast Missouri.

In 2017, Project Homeless Connect had 644 participants from 299 households as well as 67 service providers who provided a total of 3,446 same-day services. With Burrito-Ville’s assistance, they hope to extend their reach even further with this year’s event.

Attendees at Burrito-Ville’s fundraiser can expect to enjoy great food and drinks while also helping the homeless in their community. The event will be child-friendly, and families are encouraged to attend.
