Past: Flag Retirement Ceremony

21 October 2018 at 3:30 p.m., members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Auxiliary, Boy & Girl Scouts, Air Force JROTC, and the Civil Air Patrol welcome the public as we conduct our inaugural Flag Retirement Ceremony. The event will be held at the VFW Post 3838 in Cape Girardeau. American Flags, which have been identified as no longer suitable for use, will be formally retired with respect and dignity. There is no cost to attend.

At 4:30, immediately after the ceremony, everyone is invited to stay to have an early dinner. For $5 you will get: a bowl of chili, a hotdog or hamburger, and soft drink.
