Past: Oktoberfest

The Uptown Jackson Revitalization Organization will host Oktoberfest in uptown Jackson. There will be a pre-party held 6 to 10 p.m. This Oktoberfest is presented in the style of a German Oktoberfest. there will be live music, authentic food and beer, family-friendly activities and more. On Friday, an evening toast will be held on the UCBC stage at 6 p.m. with Head 1st playing from 6:30 to 10 p.m. There will be beer samplings from beer distributors. Activities on Saturday will begin at 11 a.m. On the UCBC stage (on the courthouse lawn) the Gemutlickeit German Band will play from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a stein hoisting competition from 5 to 6 p.m. on the UCBC stage. On the Kohlfeld stage (at the south end of High Street), Jefferson Fox will play from 3 to 5 p.m. and Bittersweet Fusion Band will play from 6 to 10 p.m. There will be a cornhole tournament from noon to 6 p.m., pet parade at 2 p.m. Inflatable activities will be available for families throughout the event on the northeast quadrant of the courthouse lawn, along with crafts in the History Center. The event is free and open to the public.
