Past: Fossil Day Celebration/Arrowhead Fred

Bollinger County Museum of Natural History

Bring your "fossils", rocks, and other finds for our special guest to give you his best opinion of what you have found.

1 - 4 p.m. - Native American relics and fossil identification by Arrowhead Fred Bollinger and Native American tools display. Explore hands on primitive skills while you discover the world of ancient cultures.

12 - 4 p.m. Children's activities will include a Museum Fossil Scavenger Hunt with Missouri fossil prizes, children's fossil “dig”, children’s dinosaur dig, and other fossil related activities.

Our museum pays honor to the Missouri Dinosaur, Hypsibema missouriensis, in our Missouri Dinosaur Discovery exhibit. Exploring fossils and ancient life forms helps us understand the history of life, past climates, and ancient landscapes. We invite you to explore Missouri’s rich fossil record with us.

Museum admission: Adults $5 and 17 years and under $2

All activities are free with your paid museum admission.
