Past: Coats for Kids

HealthPoint Fitness, Cape Girardeau

Southeast HealthPoint Fitness, the Salvation Army, and the River Radio stations are teaming up again this year for the annual "Coats for Kids" program. This is a one day, 12-hour effort to get warm clothes to kids in our area who really need them.

The community is urged to donate extra coats, gloves, sweaters, hats, snowsuits and other winter wear that their family no longer can wear. We collect the warm clothing and turn it over to the Salvation Army for distribution to needy families in the area.

So please open your heart--and your closet--and bring your extra winter wear to HealthPoint Fitness in Cape or Jackson on Friday, November 2 from 6 a.m. till 6 p.m.

If you're looking for a way to make a charitable donation that has a real impact locally--this is it. After all, what better way to help than to keep a child warm this winter?
