Cape Area Hockey Presents: PUCKS 4 PAWS. Benefitting the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri

The Humane Society of Southeast Missouri (HSofSEMO) and Cape Area Hockey (CAH) are teaming up to help find furever homes for sheltered pets.

The event, which will take place at the A.C. Brase Arena Building at Arena Park in Cape Girardeau, will be a mobile pet adoption event administered by HSofSEMO. In addition to pet adoptions, HSofSEMO will also be accepting donations*.

In conjunction with the pet adoption, CAH, a local roller hockey group consisting of members from a wide range age and skills, will be playing a 4-team roller hockey tournament.

Food will be available for purchase via Cape Girardeau’s local VFW Post 3838 food truck. The VFW have graciously offered to donate a portion of their food truck profits to HSofSEMO.

This great event is free and open to the public. Everyone is welcome to come in, adopt a new family member, drop off donations, eat some great food, and watch some roller hockey.

Currently, our sponsors include: Penzel Construction, Cape County Private Ambulance, First Missouri State Bank, Skyview Animal Clinic, Act Now Rescue (animal rescue, St Louis, MO), Eggemeyer Associates Architects (Herrin, IL), Jones Landmark Construction, Plaza Tire on Siemers Drive, 180 Healthcare, Rude Dog Pub, Blue Diamond Bar, and three donations in memory of Dustin Hamilton (late member of CAH): Tattoo Spot (Cape, MO), Carrie Hamilton, Scott Glastetter. We have numerous pledges from other sponsors, the names of which will be released after those donations have been collected.

We will also be raffling the following items: St Louis Blues tickets (winner chooses vs. Colorado on 4/1 or vs. Philadelphia on 4/4), massage session, and gift certificates from Wing, Etc and Barrel 131.

All sponsorship money and proceeds from pet treat bags and raffles collected are being put toward the cost of the event. CAH will donate all excess money to HSofSEMO.
