Past: Registration Due for Crisp Museum's ‘Abstract Painting with Caroline Thompson’ Workshop

Rosemary Berkel and Harry L. Crisp II Museum

The Rosemary Berkel and Harry L. Crisp II Museum at Southeast Missouri State University’s River Campus will host a workshop titled “Abstract Painting with Caroline Thompson” April 1, 8 and 15 from noon to 4 p.m.

Thompson, an abstract expressionist artist, will lead three classes for participants in exploring different approaches to creating abstract work in oil or acrylic. Participants will learn about color, texture and movement; how to use a palette knife; and how to create points of interest that pop off the canvas. Thompson will also discuss some of her recent works and her manner of using repurposed items for applying, maneuvering and sometimes removing the medium as integrated design elements.

Cost for this workshop is $25 and registration is required by March 25. Participants must be at least 18 and must bring their own supplies.

To register, visit https://app.semo.edu/genl/DAPS/Application.aspx?app=CrispMuseum.
