Past: Be SMART for Kids
Cape Girardeau Public Library
As part of Safe Kids Month, the southeast Missouri chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, will host a presentation on Be SMART for Kids at their next meeting on Wednesday, April 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the Cape Girardeau Public Library.
Be SMART is a conversation about kids, guns and safety. Unfortunately, gun violence is now the second leading cause of death for American children. The Be SMART program outlines five steps that adults and parents can take to help prevent child gun deaths and injuries. For more information about the program, visit besmartforkids.org
SEMO Moms Demand Action is made up of volunteers from throughout the region who advocate for commonsense solutions to our nation's gun violence problem and who strive to bring awareness to the toll that gun violence takes on our children and communities.
