Past: Southeast OMVS Veterans Benefits Workshop

Office of Military and Veterans Services (University Center Room 302)

The Office of Military and Veterans Services (OMVS) at Southeast Missouri State University will host a Veteran Benefits Workshop for Southeast veterans and alumni, and local community veterans and their families. The workshop is free and open to the public, and no appointments are necessary. The workshop is an opportunity for veterans to receive one-on-one assistance and gain the confidence that their benefits are being processed properly. Navigating through these processes can be difficult, subject matter experts from various Veteran-specific organizations will be available to provide their knowledge and assistance. During the workshop, veterans and their families will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from the Missouri Veterans Commission, the Missouri Division of Workforce Development, the Department of Veterans Affairs and Southern Catholic Charities. Services and support include filing for disability and compensation requests or appeals, VA healthcare enrollment, career readiness and employment assistance, and general services and resources information. OMVS will also provide free food and beverages. For more information, contact Southeast’s Office of Military and Veterans Services at (573) 651-2263.
