Past: Southeast's 'After Hours: Conversations on Art and Culture' Presents 'Fermentation as Art'

Catapult Creative House

"Fermentation as Art," a discussion about how brewing has it's roots in the magical and misunderstood world of fermentation, will be the focus of the April 29 installment of the "After Hours: Conversations on Art and Culture" series at Southeast Missouri State University's Catapult Creative House.

DeWayne Schaaf, executive chef at Ebb and Flow Fermentations in Cape Girardeau, will talk about how over the past few hundred years there has been a trend towards replication and precision, but himself and others are pushing back with an eye (or tongue) towards the beauty of nature taking some control back and using beer as an artistic vehicle that changes with time.

This event is free and open to the public.
