Past: Opening Reception for ‘Letters to Home’ Exhibition at Kent Library

Southeast Missouri State University’s Department of History and Anthropology will feature the work of second-year historic preservation student Katie Lewis’ exhibition titled “Letters to Home: World War II Letters to Southeast Missouri” opening May 3 on Kent Library’s main floor.

The public is invited to the opening reception scheduled for 3 p.m. The exhibit will remain on display through Dec. 20. Admission is free.

Lewis completed the exhibition as part of an advanced project requirement. The exhibition displays World War II letters that were sent from soldiers to their friends and family in the southeast Missouri region. The exhibition also displays two maps of Missouri from 1943 from the General and Command Staff School.
