Past: "The Forgotten" Project - Homeless Awareness Walk

Veterans of Foreign Wars and Auxiliary of Post #3838, Community Caring Council, SEMO Student Veterans Organization, and others in Cape Girardeau, for our first annual walk for the homeless.

This walk is to raise awareness about our homeless population and the barriers they experience.

The Forgotten 1Hour Walk in their Shoes Awareness Walk will be held Saturday, June 15, 2019, 10 a.m. at Capaha Park Shelter #4 in Cape Girardeau, MO.

Hosted by Veterans of Foreign Wars and Auxiliary of Post #3838 and Community Partnership of Southeast Missouri.

Join us as we join forces to bring homelessness to everyone’s peak awareness when we meet at Capaha Park, Shelter #4.

*During this walk, many of you may be asked to participate in carrying certain backpack attire, push shopping carts, or carry Wal-Mart bags we have filled containing all of your groceries and belongings, as you walk around the lake.
