Past: Benefit Dinner & Silent Auction for Pearla Skelton Smith

We will be having a Benefit Dinner & Silent Auction on Saturday, June 29th, 4:00-7:00 p.m.

All proceeds from this benefit will go toward medical expenses for Pearla Skelton Smith.

Free Will Offering

Dinner includes: Pulled Pork, Grilled Chicken, German Potato Salad, Cole Slaw, Baked Beans, Chips, Drink & Dessert.

Pearla is a lifelong resident of our area. After working for Southeast Missouri Hospital for 40 years, 13 of these as the Hospice Volunteer Coordinator, she had moved into part-time retail employment. In Oct 2018, Pearla took a fall that resulted in a brain bleed and a lengthy hospital stay. As she was on the road to recovery, she was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. She is now undergoing chemotherapy that is scheduled to continue at least until Fall 2019. She is a single woman, was working part-time and did not have medical insurance. As you can imagine, her medical bills are already astounding with more to come.
