Past: "The Great 8" Blood Drive - Wyatt Hill and Family with Withers Radio - STL Cardinals t-shirts

Jackson Civic Center

Why the Great 8?

Super courageous, full of personality, and practically a ninja; Wyatt hill is now 8 years old!

Wyatt's amazing family, Brandon and Amanda, began hosting blood drives to raise awareness for the importance and need of blood donations. Wyatt received many blood transfusions during his battle with Leukemia at the young age of just 2 years old. During their own battles they saw the need to help others, and man have they! The Hill's semi-annual blood drive has collected 708 units of blood. 2,124 potential lives saved! If this blood drive can collect 92 units, they will have collected 800 units of blood saving up to 2400 lives.

Come celebrate the transfusion recipients, their families, and most of all the selfless blood donors who willingly gave up time out of their busy lives to help save a strangers.

Every 2 seconds someone is in need of blood, we are looking for heroes.

Critical Blood Shortage Blood Drive

3 out of 100 eligible people donate blood. Out of those 3, they are donating 1.6 times a year. This is just not enough blood to maintain hospital blood levels that are severely needed during the year. If each donor would donate even once or twice more a year, we could see a HUGE impact in our blood supply.

With less than an hour of your time you could save up to 3 lives by donating blood. Please sign up today at www.redcrossblood.org or call 573-270-8105 to schedule your appointment. Give the gift of life this summer!
