Past: SEMO District Fair - Day 1

The fair parade will be held at 9:30 a.m., starting at Capaha Park, taking Broadway to Kingshighway to Maria Louise Lane entrance of the fairgrounds. A cornhole/bags singles tournament will be held at 11 a.m. in the American Legion Pavilion with the doubles event held at 1 p.m. Livestock judging: 4-H poultry, rabbits and guinea pigs at 1 p.m. in the poultry tent; fine arts, photography, crafts and hobbies, floriculture, Family & Consumer Science and horticulture will be held at 1:30 p.m. in the Arena Building; field crops, FFA field crops, FFA fruit and vegetables at 1:30 p.m. in the FFA barn; 4-H Exhibit Hall entries at 1:30 p.m. in the 4-H Exhibit Hall; 4-H horse show at 2 p.m. at ballfield 7. In the activities tent there will be bingo from 2 to 4:30 p.m. and Bittersweet Band will play 5:30 to 7 p.m. The dual demo derby will be held at 6 p.m. in the grandstand. $25 wristbands will be available for rides from noon to 5 p.m. On grounds entertainment includes Cown Town Heritage Museum and petting corral on the south fairgrounds, Kenny Ahern & and Family Fun Time on the north fairgrounds; Marcos the Juggler on Sept. 7 and 8 and Wade Hendy, juggler and strollign entertainer Sept. 9 through 14.
