Past: Crader Family Reunion

The Crader family is celebrating 300 years in America. Jacob Greter, Martin Greter and Barbara Great came to Pennsylvania in 1719 as minor children with their mother and stepfather. Their father, Jacob Michael Greter, had died about 1710 and Margaretha remarried to Christian Allebach. They were from Banden-Wurttemberg, Germany. Greter name was changed to Crader when Martin Greter, direct line of descent, moved to Missouri. The reunion will be held at The Bridge, First Baptist Church annex at 326 South High Street in Jackson. Coffee and cookies will be available. An outline of the early family history will be shared. All presents will be asked to sign the banner celebrating the event. Each family group is to be presented by a spokesman of that group. Any pertinent information should be shared, such as where they live, any special accomplishments, etc. Picture taking of family groups will follow. A potluck meal will be shared at noon. The cemetery board members will provide the ham and chicken. Paper products will be furnished. The Crader Cemetery board will meet and a report will be given to the group after the meal. Business will be conducted as needed and to replace any board member whose term is expiring. The Crader Cemetery was started in 1860.
