Past: AUDITION CALL! R.A.D. Studio Pesents: "Aesop's Fables - The Musical" by Gerald P. Murphy

Attention! Attention! ONE AND ALL! Our spring shows are having their auditions this January! We will be having two one-act productions per nightly showing! That is TWO shows for ONE price! Aesop's Fables - the Musical will be shown along with W.A. Mozart's Bastien and Bastienna .

Audition dates are Tuesday, January 7th, and Thursday, January 9th, at 7:00pm. Auditions will be held on “The Landing” at the Centenary United Methodist Church. (300 N Ellis St. Cape Girardeau, MO 63701)

Show dates are set for Friday, March 27th, and Saturday, March 28th.

Audition forms can be e-mailed ahead of time. Please contact the studio for a digital copy of the form. Please print and bring in the form on the day of auditions. If unable to make these audition times, contact the studio for possible special arrangements for auditioning.

Aesop’s Fables - The Musical, by Gerald P. Murphy, is open to children ages 8 and up.

This show is a collection of stories bases upon the Ancient Greek storyteller Aesop.

Synopsis:

A group of mice are delighted by their plan for constraining the local cat....until it comes to executing their plan. Meanwhile, a lion falls in love, a boy ruins his chance of promotion in the shepherding business, and a fox tries to make the most of a fashion disaster.

What to prepare:

- Completed audition form, headshot recommended.

What to expect:

- Auditions will be held in groups with each group learning a partial selection of a song from the musical. A cold reading of select sides from the script will conclude the audition process.
