Past: AUDITION CALL! R.A.D. Studio Pesents: "Bastien and Bastienna" by W.A. Mozart, A Comedic Opera

Attention! Attention! ONE AND ALL! Our spring shows are having their auditions this January! We will be having two one-act productions per nightly showing! That is TWO shows for ONE price! Bastien and Bastienne will be shown along with Aesop's Fables - the Musical by Gerald P. Murphy .

Audition dates are Tuesday, January 7th, and Thursday, January 9th, at 7:00pm. Auditions will be held on “The Landing” at the Centenary United Methodist Church. (300 N Ellis St. Cape Girardeau, MO 63701)

Show dates are set for Friday, March 27th, and Saturday, March 28th.

Audition forms can be e-mailed ahead of time. Please contact the studio for a digital copy of the form. Please print and bring in the form on the day of auditions. If unable to make these audition times, contact the studio for possible special arrangements for auditioning.

Bastien and Bastienna, by W.A. Mozart, is a comic opera opera to the community ages 16 years of age and up.

Synopsis:

Bastienna, a shepherdess, fears that her “dearest friend”, Bastien, has forsaken her for another pretty face, and decides to go into the pasture to be comforted by her flock of lambs. Before she can leave, however, she runs into Colas, the village soothsayer....

What to prepare:

- Completed audition form, headshot recommended

- Aria or Art Song of your choice, sung accapella. (Starting pitches will be given)

What to expect:

- Cold reading of sides from the production.

- This Production will be performed in English.
