Past: Sundays at Three Presents Violon d’Ingres

Southeast Missouri State University’s River Campus “Sundays at Three” series presents "Violin d'Ingres," featuring music for violin and piano, and Southeast Department of Music violin professor Dr. Sophia Han will be joined by pianist Dr. Galen Dean Peiskee.

The program will feature works by living composers Piotr Szewczyk and Arvo Part, and American composer Amy Beach's “Romance” will also be performed. Astor Piazzolla's iconic “Histoire du Tango” will conclude the program.

Peiskee has established a multifaceted career as an accomplished chamber musician, soloist, orchestral pianist, choral accompanist and vocal coach. He has performed all over the United States as well as throughout the world in Austria, Poland, Italy, Greece, Spain, Cuba and Bolivia. Peiskee has enjoyed premiering works by Gregory Wanamaker, Piotr Szewczyk, Paul Richards, Roger Zare and Timothy Hoekman.

Face coverings will be required, and social distancing guidelines will be in place. Due to capacity limits, patrons are encouraged to reserve their seats early.
