Past: Missouri Bicentennial Mural at Liberty Days

Stars and Stripes Museum

One of the 15 panels for the Missouri Bicentennial Mural will be at the Stars and Stripes Museum's Liberty Days on October 2 and 3, 2020. It's free to participate. Each person will be handed a brush loaded with paint and shown where to paint. A journal will be kept with each person's name, age, job title, and town. This project has broken Guinness's World Record of 5,000 people as the most to paint a painting. We are well over 12,000 painters and expect 15,000 to 20,000 or more when this project is finished. When the mural is completed, it will measure 12 feet tall and 30 feet long and is slated to hang in the Truman Building in Jefferson City for folks to see for generations to come.

Come to the Stars and Stripes Museum and take part in this historic birthday present from the people of Missouri to the state of Missouri.
