Bollinger County Museum of Natural History

Bollinger County Museum of Natural History will host Brent Ashcraft on Saturday, October 24. At 1:00 pm, Brent Ashcraft, amateur paleontologist, will present "Living Fossils of Southeast Missouri and the Surrounding Region." A look at the plants and animals of this area and what they tell us about the past and present.

Please register by October 23 to reserve your seat for this program. Face coverings will be required with limited seating to allow for physical distance seating arrangements. If the 1:00 pm presentation fills up and enough people register ahead of time a second presentation will take place at 2:30 pm.

Our museum pays honor to the Missouri Dinosaur, Hypsibema missouriensis, in our Missouri Dinosaur Discovery exhibit. We invite you to explore Missouri’s rich fossil record with us.

Fun children’s activities, from 12pm - 4pm, include a children’s fossil dig, dinosaur dig, fossil scavenger hunt with local fossil prize, and other fossil related activities. Children, who visit the museum, will take home a free fossil craft kit with fossil activities, while supplies last.

Bring your fossils or come see our fossils and help us celebrate National Fossil Day, 2020.

Bollinger County Museum of Natural History is located at 209 Mayfield Drive in Marble Hill, MO.

Regular admission to the museum will apply.

Museum admission: Adults $5 and 17 years and under $2

Museum hours: 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm
