Past: Free Gun Lock Give Away

The southeast Missouri Be SMART for Kids team will distribute free gun locks on Saturday, April 10th from 1:00-2:00 pm at the First Presbyterian Peace Park in downtown Cape Girardeau. Storing guns locked up and separately from ammunition is an important tool in reducing unintentional shootings and suicide. Also at the Peace Park through April 18th is a Memorial to the 46 Missouri kids who were victims of firearm homicide in 2020. The exhibit is sponsored by Southeast Missouri Moms Demand Action.
