Past: Great American 4th of July Celebration

Celebrate our nation's birthday with a spectacular fireworks show at Arena Park. The Great American 4th of July Celebration will take place on July 4 with the Southeast Missourian Spirit of America Award presentation & a performance by the Cape Girardeau Municipal Band in the Arena Park Grandstands. Set up a lawn chair or picnic blanket at the fairgrounds in Arena Park to view the fireworks show starting at 9 p.m.

A naturalitzation ceremony will take place at 7 p.m.

At 8 p.m. Patriotic music by the Cape Girardeau Municipal Band.

At 8:30 p.m. comments by Mayor Stacey Kinder. At 8:40 p.m., the Southeast Missourian Spirit of Award presentation will be held with fireworks starting at 9 p.m. The ceremony will be covered live on KZIM/KSIM radio. All River Radio radio stations will play patriotic music for the fireworks display.
