The East Perry Community Fair will return following a year's absence. The fair was founded in 1937 and it had been held in the same location every year since then, except for 2020 and the years 1942 through 1945 during World War II in compliance with government requests to conserve resources. The parade opening the fair will being at 1:30 p.m. on Friday followed by the opening ceremonies. The parade will include high school marching bands. The 4x4 Truck Pull will be at 7 p.m. Friday. The "World Championship" Mule Jumping Competition will be at 4 p.m. on Saturday. New to the fair will be a hot rod and out of field tractor pull at 7 p.m. Saturday. The mainstay of the failr is the competition judging of livestock, crops and home economics entries as well as many classes of 4-H and FFA projects. At 6:30 p.m. Friday, the White Lightning Band will be on stage. The Backstreet Cruisers will play at 1 p.m. Saturday. Generation will take the stage at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
