Past: Collecting Fossils with Brent Ashcraft
Bollinger County Museum of Natural History
1pm-3pm: Bring your rocks, fossils, and finds for fossil ID with Brent Ashcraft.
Bring your questions about fossil collecting or talk with Ashcraft about these fossil collecting topics: Where do you get fossils? 12:00 pm - 4:00pm: Come see fossils of dinosaurs, plants, ocean life, shells, and more! Learn about the Missouri Dinosaur Discovery. Our museum pays honor to the Missouri Dinosaur, Hypsibema missouriensis, in our Missouri Dinosaur Discovery exhibit. We invite you to explore Missouri’s rich fossil record with us.
Fun children’s activities, from 12pm – 4pm, include a children’s dinosaur dig, fossil dig, fossil scavenger hunt with local fossil prize, and other fossil related activities. Children can submit their prehistoric artwork to be included in a temporary art display. All entries will be posted to our Facebook page.
