Location: Online only

Did you know there are treasures hiding all around you? Geocaching is a fun pastime in which you follow GPS coordinates to a specific location, or box, filled with trinkets. In this program, we will discuss different types of caches, safety, and give you a set of coordinates to explore (Cape County). For those of you participating in the Cape Nature Center’s “A Year in Color,” this program will earn you a yellow outdoor adventure bead, and virtual participants are welcome to pick up their bead at he nature center after the program.

Note: Participants will need a mobile GPS unit or to download a GPS app to their smart device to participate in the geocaching activity. Participants are welcome to tune in from other parts of the state even though they will be unable to follow the coordinates given.

Please make sure that your MDC account includes an accurate email address so that you can receive a link to the virtual program.
