Past: Chopped Kids Cooking Competition

Welcome to the Tween Chopped Cooking Competition! If you have a Tween (ages 10-12) who loves to cook here is your opportunity to let their skills shine!

Contestants must be able to read, interpret, and execute a simple, but unfamiliar recipe. Contestants must be comfortable using standard cooking equipment, ovens, electric skillets, mixers, timers, measuring, etc and be experienced cutting with knives. This is an amazing opportunity to put let your child put their cooking skills to the test and compete against other local tweens for the Chopped Championship!

Participants will be selected by a committee and will be put to the TWEEN Kitchen test and only 4 contestants will be chosen!

Tentative competition schedule:

1:15-2 pm - Technical challenge: Group A

2 - 2:45pm - Technical challenge: Group B

3 - 3:45pm - Championship - winner of

*Note: winner of each technical challenge will be advanced to the championship round and participants must made accommodations to stay the championship challenge from approximately 3 - 3:45pm.

* Winner wins a personalized prize and bragging rights.

* Must be 10 years old to participate and accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Application closes March 20th at midnight.

Selected contestants will be notified by phone or email on Monday March 27th and you must reply to confirm your attendance by noon Tuesday March 28th or another contestant will be chosen
