Past: Cape County Genealogical Society Meeting

Join us at our next meeting on March 28 at 7 p.m. at the County Archive Center! The program this time is "Stories of the Rodney Family," presented by Bill Eddleman. The Rodneys came to the Cape Girardeau District in 1798 and settled south of present-day Gordonville, where the patriarch, Martin Rodney, operated a mill. The family prospered, and eventually became businessmen and pillars of the Cape Girardeau community in the 1800s. One son, Thomas S., married Marie Louise, daughter of Louis Lorimier.
