Past: Womens Introduction to Handguns

Registration period: August 11 - September 15

This event will be conducted over two evenings. The first evening, 6 - 8:30 pm, will be held at the Cape Girardeau Nature Center (2289 County Park Drive). Participants will learn the basics of safety, operation of handguns, shooting stances, types of ammunition, etc.

The second evening students will be assigned a shooting time based on their schedule and meet at the Apple Creek Conservation Area for an evening of shooting revolver and semi-automatic handguns with one-on-one instruction. Firearms and ammunition provided at no charge.

Students are not permitted to bring their own handgun to the classroom portion but are permitted to bring their firearm to the range. Students will be contacted by email prior to the class with more details.
