Past: Third annual poker run and cook-off competition

American Legion Post 114 in Sikeston, Missouri, is hosting its third annual poker run and cook-off competition. All proceeds from the event will go to the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield. On Friday there will be a bean-bag toss tournament, with prizes for winners and free wings, and a wing war competition. Saturday's events include an auction, the poker run, and cook-off competition. Everyone is welcome, and even nonriders can participate. All street-legal vehicles are welcome. The cost for the poker run is $20 per vehicle. The bean-bag toss tournament entry fee is $25 per team. The cook-off entry fee is $100 per team, with a grand champion prize of $1,000. Food will be served at 5 p.m. Saturday until it runs out. The cost is $8 per plate; carry-outs will be available starting at noon.
