Cape Girardeau Public Library
Join us for Respect MO Voters first Town Hall in Cape! A statewide, cross-partisan Respect Voters Coalition has launched a campaign of 24 Town
Halls across Missouri to write a constitutional amendment and launch a ballot initiative
campaign to ban politicians from continuing to attack the citizen ballot initiative process,
including with biased ballot language.
During the past session, the Missouri legislature placed deceptive language on the 2024 ballot,
and attempted to pass multiple bills that would effectively gut the ballot initiative process,
stripping away a Constitutional right from Missourians.
Article I, Section 1 of the Missouri Constitution says “that all political power is vested in and
derived from the people; that all government of right originates from the people, is founded upon
their will only, and is instituted solely for the good of the whole.”
About Respect Voters Coalition: Respect Voters Coalition is a cross-partisan, grassroots
movement to ban politicians from attacking the will of the people.
