Cape Ballroom Friday Night Dance with Latin Salsa Lesson

Friday, September 12th- 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

"Salsa dance is one of the most iconic Latin dances that has attracted significant popularity worldwide. Its origins can be traced to the first few decades of the 20th century when dance communities of several Caribbean countries managed to take the essences of several Latin dances such as cha-cha-cha, Mambo, Cuban Son, and others, and morph them into new and attractive music and dance style." Just $5 per person at the door, cash only. No bills over $20, please. Doors open at 6:45 p.m.

The evening begins at 7:00 p.m. with a 30-minute dance lesson, followed by dancing to mixed ballroom music. Line dances included.

No smoking. No alcohol. Water is available. You may bring your own snacks and non-alcoholic beverages.

Cape Ballroom Friday Night Dances are held from 7-9 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 2731 Thomas Drive, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701.
