Past: Messy Morning

Messy Morning is a popular free event for families with young children, featuring over thirty different activities to support the development of the young child. Please bring canned food items to contribute to the Southeast Missouri Food Bank in lieu of admission. The theme is "Read Sing Play" with an emphasis on play through music, rhythm and dance. Most activities are designed for children under the age of 8. There will be a designated area for infants and toddlers. The highlight of the day will be the mud run starting at 12:30 p.m. where children will have the chance to slide through mounds of shaving cream. Activities are designed to encourage messy play and families are encouraged to bring an extra change of clothes. Sponsored by the United Way of Southeast Missouri.
