Snow Goose Spotting
Saturday, January 17, 2026, 6:00 am - 11:00 am
Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature Center
Registration period: December 27 - January 16
Join us on a trip through southeast Missouri to get a look at the vast numbers of snow geese either migrating through Missouri or residing on the fields and in the sloughs. Along with learning how we count such a large number of geese and other waterfowl that migrate through. Equipment such as binoculars and spotting scopes will be provided, but you may bring your own. We will mostly be driving around fields and sloughs near Otter Slough Conservation Area and stopping when we spot flocks of snow geese. Most of the roads are gravel and spotting may be wherever.
This program is weather dependent. In the case of inclement weather this program will be canceled.
