Past: Art Expressions: Jackson School-Wide Art Show

The Jackson R-II School District will hold its annual school-wide art show in the new gym at Jackson Junior High School. Artwork by students in schools kindergarten through 12th grade will be on display and there will be art activities (make and take) such as sculpey beads made and baked and made into necklaces, finger puppets, tissue flowers, weavilng, large scale collages, etc., for all ages on both days. On Sunday, Zack Petot will demonstrate screen printing on t-shirts, canvas bag, etc. You can bring a shirt of any color (other than very dark) to get a design printed on your desired item. Also, there will be a dedication to two long-time Jackson fine arts educators who passed away in the last year, Nick Leist and Herb Wickham at 2 p.m. Sunday.
