Past: Lone Star Rodeo

Lone Star Rodeo was created in Marfa, Texas and moved the sport of rodeo to the fans in the Southeast. Lone Star Rodeo Company now resides in Crofton, KY on their 660 acre ranch. The family tradition of top-notch stock and competition, pageantry, and family entertainment has been carried on for the past 37 years by Preston Fowlkes, Jr. It will provide the spectators with the best in western style, family entertainment. Contest events include bareback bronc riding, saddle brong riding, calf roping, cowgirl's breakaway roping, team roping, cowgirl's barrel racing and Brahma bull riding. Special added attractions will be Mike Wentworth, a rodeo clown, fancy trick and Roman rides Jessica Blair and Oralee Madison, a best-dressed cowboy and cowgirl contest for kids 10 an dunder and a kids gold rush for kids 10 and under. General admission is $15 at the gate adn $10 in advance for adults and $10 at the gate and $8 in advance for children. Tickets can be bought at Buchheits in Jackson and Perryville, Missouri, Lazy L Safari Park near Jackson and Cape County Cowboy Church near Oak Ridge.
